DVD Covers

I am a self-diagnosed cinephile, I have over 250 DVD’s including box sets of all kinds. Some of these DVD’s were bought brand new at the released price of anywhere between £8 and £15, And some of these DVD’s were bought months or Years Later when the price had been reduced substantially. I actually Managed to buy the film “Zodiac” for around 17p.

             If I’ve never seen a film and I’m in a shop wanting to buy a DVD then if I’ve seen the trailer and enjoyed it, that will factor greatly in weather ill purchase it or not. If I haven’t seen the trailer ill have a look at the cover and the cast. It makes a huge difference to me how aesthetically pleasing the DVD cover is.

            One of my Favourite directors has to be Quentin Tarantino, the whole style of the film gets transferred onto the cover of the DVD, These are three Quentin Tarantino DVD’s I own. I guess you could call it judging a book by it’s cover but this is how people express the style of the film inside by Visual Communication.
