University Rebrand

After being at Swansea Metropolitan University for 18 months now I have witnessed a lot. It’s now called University of Wales Trinity Saint David Swansea. So Technically I have witnessed a rebrand. Not a lot has changed around the university. The Degree’s we wish to receive at the end of our courses will now be called something else along with our sports team names and the titles of lecturers around the uni and the badges we find on all of our readings, websites and Uniforms. But apart from that, as far as I can tell it’s the same old Swansea Met. However, I can Imagine that it was a lot of work for everyone involved with this rebrand down at the Students union. As a member of the football team the most noticeable difference is the decreasing number of supporters who will chant at the pitch side, “Swansea Met La La La!” These are the logos from before and after the Universities rebrand this year.

I guess you could say this is our Universities Visual communication to anyone in Swansea to anyone will drive past one of our campuses, letting them known that we are now part of something bigger. As we are now part of Camartrhen and Lampeter aswell as Swansea Met to Give us University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
